Pinkies Up! On Sunday, October 15, 42 Elks, Ladies of the Elks and guests met to sip tea and eat lovely snacks and desserts as a fundraiser for the Washington Elks Children’s Therapy program.
Sitting at tables individually decorated in a variety of styles, the guests got to choose from a variety of donated cups and saucers to take home with them. Hard-working volunteers kept the tea pots filled and the food coming out from the kitchen. Toni Powell gave a brief history of afternoon tea and other guests displayed historical hats. There were also donated raffle items and door prizes.
Thanks to organizers Melissa Bellinger, Toni Powell, Jolee Groh and servers Keith Rybacki and Randy Powell, as well as to volunteers from Ladies of the Elks who made food and helped out.
Proceeds will be distributed to the Elks Children’s Therapy Program (formerly Tall Elks) at the Coin Box Dinner on October 20.
