More than 150 people came to the Lodge on Saturday, May 6 to drop off old documents for immediate shredding on-site. The event was sponsored by Pierce County Planning and Public Works Department and Lamay Mobile Shredding.
The mobile shredding truck made quick work of the boxes and bags of documents people brought for destruction.
The value of the shredding was $3,500 and produced almost three tons of paper ready for recycling. The event was a free service for the public, part of our Elks mission to serve our community.
