Musical program at Veteran’s Day Dinner
The Lodge has had several successful events recently that show we are back in action! The past two years have been tough, but Elks are tougher.
First, the Coin Box Dinner on October 21 was a great success. Organized by Edie Shook and powered by our great volunteers, the spaghetti dinner raised $1449 that night, bringing the annual Coin Box total to $3152 for the Washington State Elks Children’s Therapy Program. In addition, the meal helpers donated their $182 in tips to the program. Congratulations!
Remember, you can fill Coin Boxes all year round. It’s a great cause.
Dancers at the Purple Bubble Ball
Next, the annual Purple Bubble Ball raised over $2500 for the Christmas Basket Program. Organized by Lodge Inner Guard Melissa Bellinger, the ball featured a great dinner (food and labor donated by the chef), music, games, a silent auction, a dessert auction, and a wine walk.
On Halloween, the Ladies of the Elks put on the first-ever Trunk and Treat in the Lodge parking lot. Seven Elks decorated their cars and handed out candy. Dozens of children came and left happy, laden with their candy haul.
The Veteran’s Dinner on November 11 featured music by the Harmony Kings and Sweet Adelines, in addition to free dinner for our veterans.
The Ladies of the Elks held their annual Holiday Craft Bazaar on November 19 with 27 vendors.
Recently we had the Elks Memorial Service on December 4, and the Holiday Concert and Sing-a-Long on Dec. 6.
Please come on down to the Lodge! We’re back and in action and we would love to share good times with you again.
